With the current weather inductions set to continue I wonder if anyone from the club has given any thoughts as to how practical c+r fishing is at the moment. The water temperature must be getting very high with very little dissolved oxygen to help a fish recover. I have come across high temperature c+r casualties years ago on the Ogmore and on the Towy this season. Personally I would not be prepared to catch any significant numbers of fish purely with the intention of catch and releasing in these conditions. Like it or not I think it is both a moral and practical problem that the club need to consider in very hot spells.
Ps I am very much out of the loop as to how the river is fishing largely due to bad health.

Phill, the water temp in both the ogmore and ewenny is still very cold, not sure how, but it hasnt warmed up yet and cold legs in breathable waders are still the order of the day!
