The hatchery currently holds enough sewin to provide over 40,000 eggs so the broodstock programme is now closed for the season - please return all fish with the minimum amount of stress, try to leave them in the water throughout the unhooking process and forget the trophy photograph.
Congratulations are due to Mark for his huge commitment to the exercise, well done that man.

well done Mark, and after all the 1 to 2lb sewin caught it looks like its working great effort mate

Unfortunately none of the smolts introduced to the Ogmore from the hatchery have been fin clipped or made identifiable in any other way so we can only speculate as to whether the exercise is having any effect on sea trout populations.
