caught a perch earlier today in the tennis courts pool ... anyone else caught any ? This is the second non native fish caught on our waters within a week. Another member has reported catching a large common carp estimated at over 10lbs whilst fishing for mullet on the confluence pool. I will be contacting the EA and asking them to investigate this worrying development. Under no circumstances should any coarse fish caught be returned. Please contact contact me on 07872399110 if you come across any more coarse fish Ian

The lake in Treoes owned by Gamorgan Anglers has both carp and perch and has been known to overflow in the past. A member who fishes there regularly mentioned some time ago that there had been problems with the dam and wouldn't be suprised if some fish had found their way into the Ewenny. I do find it hard to belive that they have come into the Ogmore, but Grayling have managed to come round from the Ewenny

The brook has a direct route to the Ewenny via Treoes stream. The overflow pipe does have a screen but it is no very secure. I wrote to the Agency and they have told me they will investigate the situation and check the screen security of every know coarse fishery that could impact the Ogmore/Ewenny catchment Ian

JJ is spot on concerning the carp. I've watched one fish especially in the ewenny for the past four years but have to say I haven't spotted any at all this season.
