Fellow OAA member James Thorogood and myself just had a great time on the South Esk at Scotland. The weather was great along with the food and lots of drinks!!! Jim managed to land 5 salmon the biggest been a coloured thingy fish of 20 pounds which was returned unharmed. He then went onto land fish during our stay of 11,7,5,3 pounds The smaller to of the fish were fresh run and the one still carrying sealice some 11 miles from the Montrose Basin!! I managed one coloured hen that was returned of 9 pounds then lost 2 fish one after another, a fresh silver fish that just wanted to jump all the time, and the other fish which bent my Grey's spin rod in half!! and head shake on the bottom of the pool and swim in circles- then came off it would of been nice to see it but would not lift off the bottom!!!! sewinfly......... Roll on next year. sewinfly.............
