The only attendees to the clean up Sunday were myself and Brian, shameful really given the 400+ members, and the new members who said they would attend a minimum amount of clean ups on their application form. Some members had genuine reasons for non attendance, most did not.

Hi Mark, im a relitively new member, second season and not been on a clear up yet, ive not long discovered this website and forum!
Where do i find out about dates and locations for these events? If I cant help this season i will next. Seems to me to be a great way of meeting members and learning about the river. I bet there are other newbees out there that would give up the time if they knew when and where these clean ups were. If ive been sent something ive missed it or do members need to locate the info from the website?
Cheers Martin

Hi Martin, Sorry if you've not seen anything regarding the cleanups before, but we do try and publicise them as much as possible via the newsletters and the forum and website. we've finished now for this year, but we will be starting back up next February just before the start of the season. We've met on the 1st Sunday of every month at 9:30am at the Brewery Field car park traditionally, but due to continually falling numbers over recent seasons we will be looking at a slightly different format to see if we can encourage members to spare a couple of hours during the next season. Once we've got something set I'll post something here on the forum, but it will be in the newsletter that all members receive prior to the start of the new season.
