Well done Berwyn, bait or fly. sewinfly....... cheers lads, dead baits off the bank was the method of capture, pike trials for another 6 weeks on chew, day tickets are like rocking horse poo for these trials, not the best way to catch but the best way to land a clonker, also "gold head" very good fly fishing for pike in the spring well worth a go and you can fish for em right through the trout season on fly at chew, chew record is 40lb 8oz caught by a pike fly angler this year .i been again today and had 2 fish of 15lb and 16lb, 2 jacks and lost 3 fish probably jacks ;D very busy day when the sun came on the water, then dead after 3pm when the cloud came over, this water must be carpeted with pike, and a hell of a lot of 20lb ers init, and there are some big perch in chew as well which are great sport on the fly, my very good friend landed a 14lb 8oz brown trout on a dead bait yesterday wow a fly fishermans lifetime fish every spieces of fish are big on this water for some reason ab fab
