Even my wife remembered the clean up was on sunday, if we had a milkman i'd be worried! Come on guys, stop making excuses, pull your fingers out of your arses and help us clean the river, it is a lot easier and quicker to clean with 20 rather than 4 or 5 of the same faces. See you Sunday Brian.

That time of the month has come again folks. the next cleanup will be this Sunday (7th of June), so if you could spare a couple of hours of this fine sunshine to help clean a stretch of the river and the banks it would gratefully appreciated. Meeting as usual at the Brewery Field Car park at 9:30am. A big thank you to all those who attended the last one, the effort put on the stretch through Newbridge Fields was fantastic. Thanks again and i hope to see you all this Sunday. ;D

Thanks to the guys who turned up on Sunday. It's a shame a few more volunteers couldn't make it on the day, we could've made an even bigger dent on the river. THE NEXT ONE IS ON SEPTEMBER 6th so plenty of notice this time. thanks again, see you on the river.

Sorry folks but the cleanup planned for the beginning of October will have to be canceled as I will be away for the weekend. However if anyone is interested, there will be a large event happening next Wednesday along the river at the Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes in partnership with CCW and a number of other groups. this will be running as part of Tidy Wales Week. we're meeting at the sand dune car park for about 9:30 if anyone is interested.

with the start of the season just around the corner, i thought I'd give you all a quick reminder that the cleanups will be starting from this Sunday (7th of February). we'll be meeting at the usual place in the Brewery Field car park at 9:30am and look to be finished by about 12. with the start of the 6 nations the day before this will be a good opportunity to clear the head and to continue the good work that was done during last season. All are welcome and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

is anyone available this weekend (6th June) to help out with a cleanup. with the river being so low at the moment it would be a great time to drag some of the crap that is clearly visible in some of the stretches. if anyone is interested we'll be meeting at the brewery field car park at 9:30am. See you there

Is anyone available tomorrow evening at about 6pm for an hour or two. I know it's short notice but I've been a bit busy lately and this is the first chance I've had to get online. I'm helping out the Bridgend Canoe club with a cleanup along newbridge fields (tennis court stretch). if any one can help out I would be very grateful. we're meeting at the tennis courts at about six o'clock.
See you there.

With the water levels still very low (at the moment), it would be a great time for us to hit some of the "deeper" pools to try and drag some of the trolleys and other snags out. BUT WE CAN'T DO IT IF NO ONE TURNS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone is available this Sunday (4th of July) we'll be meeting in the usual spot at Bridgend rugby club car park at 9:30am. Just bring your waders as all othere equipment is provided.
Many hands make light work as they say, so please try and attend this cleanup.
thanks and see you on Sunday.

In last week's Glamorgan Gazette, the wife of one of our members criticised members of the Association for poor turn outs at river clean ups.
This lady is frustrated that her husband who is well into his seventies religiously assists with our clean ups whilst 98% of the membership do not turn out. I can share her frustrations.
This lady has been a champion of the Association in the local press over the past few years and has highlighted a valid point.
To that end I would urge as many of you as possible to attend the clean up this coming sunday (1st August) meeting at the Brewery Field car park at 9.30am.
