Fished dipping bridge area today ,tried spinning seen few trout ,but water too clear really for spinning....but seen big sewin or salmon and was covered in white patches...but when i cast spinner near it it moved very quick ,if you do catch badly diseased fish like this do you put them back,i know all salmon gotta go back dead or alive but what about sewin...

Unfortunately the Ogmore is not alone in having fish enter its system with this condition, and it is recurring. Check my post and others from early May last year on this forum for some pics that I would bet are similar to that which you saw. NRW are interested in any sightings and the name of the fisheries officer and his phone number are on that post. Always very sad to see big fish with this.

Took one out of the river on Monday Salmon about 6lb from grating pool. I believe they are unlikely to survive to spawn as this fish was so badly ulcerated it was blind
